Cookie Change Tracker is a developer debugging tool for the Google Chrome browser. This policy describes how the extension handles information when you use it.

Summary

• All processing happens locally in your browser.
• We do not operate a backend server for this extension.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• Recorded logs stay on your device unless you export or copy them yourself.

Information the extension accesses

When you start a recording session, the extension may access:

• Cookie names and values for the cookie you choose to monitor
• URLs, HTTP methods, response status codes, and response headers related to network requests in the active tab
• Page URLs and script stack traces when a cookie is written via document.cookie
• Tab URL and browsing context needed to attribute cookie changes to requests

How information is used

This information is used only to show you which request or script changed the selected cookie. It is displayed in the extension side panel and may be exported by you as JSON, CSV, or text.

How information is stored

• Active recording sessions and logs are stored in chrome.storage.session and are cleared when the browser session ends.
• The extension does not sync data to your Google account or to our servers.

Data sharing

We do not collect, transmit, or share your data with third parties. If you export logs or copy them to your clipboard, you control where that data goes next.

Permissions

The extension requests broad host access and network permissions so it can inspect requests on the sites you are debugging. It only runs when you open it and click Record on a tab.

Children

This extension is intended for developers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest version.
